Basic Booth Construction Rules

1.Booth Space

The booth space is count by units, not by square meters. 1 unit in most trade shows in Japan is 3 meters x 3 meters. There are some exceptions, in most shows which are organized by Reed Exhibition, the biggest show organizer in Japan, 1 unit is bigger, either 3 x 6 meters, or 2.7 x 3 meters. So when you are ordering your space, pay attention to which standard size is used, and make sure you tell your builder the right size.

2.Booth Height

All linier booths are required to build walls on the border of next booths, and walls must be 2.7 meter tall. In many shows, maximum height of any element in a booth is 3.6 to 6 meters. In some shows, it is required 1 meter set back all around to build anything above 2.7 m.

Wooden Booth

In Japan, we use unique technique to finish wooden booths.

1.We don’t paint. We use wall paper for finishing wooden surface.

Mounting wall paper to the wall. Even fixtures and counters are finished with wall paper.

Wide range of colors to chose from. Even pearly colors and patterns are available.

2.Many counter are used as storage space, too. Making a opening on side of counter, and cover it with a lid.
